There is a 17" long by 4" wide by 1" deep tailing of heartwood at one end of the second face. Surfaced two face and very nicely figured. There are a few light streaks of natural stain on the pictured face as well as 16" of wane along one edge of the pictured face that reduces the usable width to 7 3/4" at the narrowest point.
