Curly or Flamed Yellow Birch

The figure found in the yellow birch tree is some of the strongest and most vivid of any figured species. It has many names like flamed birch, wavy birch, curly birch and others. The sapwood of this species is a creamy to light yellow in color and the heartwood can be a reddish brown to darker tan color. Typically with Flame Birch the heartwood has just as much beautiful figure as the sapwood which in other species of figured material often isn't the case. All the selections are kiln dried, trimmed to remove all end cracks or checking and sealed to prevent moisture re-absorption.
