There is dark sapwood along one edge of both faces. Surfaced two face and very nicely figured. There is also 24" of wane along one edge of the second face that reduces the usable width to 9 7/16" at the narrowest point. The material is flat sawn along one edge and more rift to quarter-sawn along the opposite edge.
