The second face is mostly heartwood that is almost showing through onto the picture face. Surfaced two face and very nicely figured. The color of this material is just slightly a darker off color appearance. There is also 20" of wane along one edge of the pictured face at the end of the board that reduces the usable width to 9" at the narrowest point.
Cutting this selection so that the final package is 48" or less can save as much as $30 off the cost of shipping as long as the package is less than 50 pounds.
