There is a 17" long by 4 1/2" wide by 1 1/4" deep tailing of heartwood at one end of the second face that contains a 3/4" knot 13 1/2" from the end of the second face. Surfaced two face and very nicely figured. There is some minor wane along one edge of the pictured face that reduces the usable width to 7 3/4" at the narrowest point.
