There is a mix of sapwood and heartwood on the pictured face with the second face mostly heartwood. Surfaced two face and beautifully figured. The second face has a 19" long by 6" wide area of small bark inclusions which appears to be from a shotgun blast as it had lead pellets in it when I surfaced it. There is a 1/2" long bark inclusion on the pictured face with a dog mark next to it. Lastly, there is 15" of wane at one end of the pictured face which reduces the usable width to 5 9/16" at the narrowest.
