There is a 15" long by 4" wide spike of heartwood at one end of the second face. Surfaced two face and very nicely figured. There is a knot remnant along one edge of the second face as well as 10" of wane along one edge of the pictured face at the end of the board that reduces the usable width to 9" at the narrowest point.
