Both pieces have sapwood along the edges of the second face and one piece has dark sapwood along one edge of the pictured face. Surfaced two faced and beautifully figured. One piece has a 3/8" knot on the heartwood face that isn't visible on the sapwood side of the board as well as 15" of wane along one edge of the second face at the end of board that reduces the usable width to 8 13/16" at the narrowest point.
