There is a 29" long by 4" wide streaks of heartwood on the second face that is 1/4" deep at the end. Surfaced two face and very nicely figured. There is a mineral streak on the pictured face as well as 17" of wane along one edge of the pictured face that reduces the usable width to 8 5/8" at the narrowest point.
