Payment Information

We do not have a secure site for paying for lumber. We do this because there are always questions about the material ordered at which time the customer provides all the secure payment info such as credit card info. Payments may be made by credit card, Pay Pal, money order or electronic transfer of funds. We no longer accept personal checks as payment due to the increased problems they present. If you choose to use the electronic transfer method for payment the minimum amount of payment must exceed $2000. Please call for routing information to make electronic transfers. Do not send cash through the mail! For those who wish to pay by credit card, we accept Master Card, Visa, American Express and Pay Pal.Com. Pay Pal payments may be made to my email address at pataran@curlymaple.com.

Credit card security, or the lack of it, is only a prudent concern considering the consequences. It is not my purpose here to educate you on the details of the mechanics of a credit card transaction. Rather, it is to inform you how I handle your transaction.

When you authorize a credit card transaction, your name, address, card number and expiration date is forwarded along with your charges to my E-Commerce transaction server. This transaction takes place over the Internet on a highly secure encrypted line transmission. After the transaction is accepted by the transaction server, you are sent a receipt providing I have your email address on file. This is sent over the same secure encrypted line that accepted your original transaction sent by me. Your transaction is then sent from the transaction server to the credit card network or bank for final debit. This communication link is a dedicated point to point proprietary connection not accessible through the Internet at all.

I hold your credit card information under password security for future transactions until it expires or you ask me to destroy it. I hope all this eases your security concerns about entering any credit card sales with MapleLeaf Hardwoods because we value your business and trust.
